Omnifray Lite RPG

Omnifray Lite is being sidelined to make way for Omnifray's successor game Soul's Calling

A suspensist tabletop fantasy roleplaying game, Omnifray Lite was a settingless system adapted to quasi-medieval game-worlds where magic exists hidden from mortal eyes. It was fully compatible with the Enshrouded Lands setting of the full fat Omnifray RPG and the full fat Omnifray RPG books could be used as source material for Omnifray Lite.

It is now being sidelined to make way for Soul's Calling.

Mechanics of Omnifray Lite

Omnifray Lite used a d12+stat v. d12+stat core mechanic which has two main variants:- the single roll mechanic and the double roll mechanic. These basic mechanics which were developed for Omnifray Lite are being ported into Soul's Calling but exactly how they are used is being refined and mostly simplified.

How can I get hold of Omnifray Lite?

The Omnifray Lite Core Guide is still available as a freely downloadable pdf and for purchase as a conventional dead tree product, both via Lulu, following its public playtest launch at Indiecon 2009. Or ask your friendly local gaming store - they may be able to get hold of a copy for you!

The planned Booster Book is being kicked into the long grass now. Apologies for that. Material available for full fat Omnifray or as from 2011 for Soul's Calling should be adaptable to Omnifray Lite with a bit of work as the games can use the same setting material, and although (apart from the shared single roll and double roll mechancis between Omnifray Lite and Soul's Calling, and the speed of action system) the mechanics are very different, the stats bear some similarity to each other.

If you find yourself playing Omnifray Lite, please, please take the time to drop off some feedback via the feedback forms on this site. This feedback may still be of use even though Omnifray Lite is being sidelined, as some of the mechanics are being ported into Soul's Calling.
